HHY & The Macumbas deal in pressure, from the feverishness of their percussive patterns and the telluric bass resonance that envelops their space-age voodoo Dub sound.

A barrage of drumming combines with the warping strategies of dub, massed horns and panic attack echo. The two tracks on this analog mixed and mastered 7” evoke the stasis found in John Carpenter soundtracks.

Channeling electromagnetic fields onto vinyl, this is the first of a series inspired by the living dead rituals of Haiti.
