Eduarda Andresen – Imerso – CDr

“Imerso” is an attempt to share the result of the last five years of research in the fields of electronically rearranged sounds, collected from Eduarda‘s daily environment, mixed with her own voice and ready made digital samples.

“The starting point is the fact that we hear with our brain rather than with our ears and that memory creates selective processes of producing what the ears present to the brain through analogue thinking.
The most seductive part of creating electronically rearranged music is the possibility to edit simultaneous different paths of musical speech, speed, color and register, which allows us, voluntarily or involuntarily, to mentally rearrange these sounds in other ways, to which other senses and sense memories contribute, producing a growing, almost hypnotic deep concentration in the mind, while travelling through musical landscapes. This is what I’m passionate about and what gives me a lot of pleasure, as well as relief from daily absorbed energetic trash.”
